At the end of your session your tattoo will be covered with Saniderm or a similar clear film product. Keep this on for up to 3 days. Saniderm is waterproof, yet breathable. You can get it wet, but avoid submerging.
You may see lymph fluid or ink build up under the film, but it’s fine. This actually helps moisturize while healing.
After 3 days remove film by stretching and gently pulling off preferably in the shower or with some water.
Cleanse tattoo twice a day with antibacterial, fragrance-free soap such as Dial and apply A&D ointment for 1-2 weeks. Do not use Vaseline or 100% petroleum products as they are too occlusive and will not allow the wound to breathe.
If Saniderm comes off before the 3 days, avoid submerging in water and begin the cleansing twice a day process sooner.
Keep tattoo moisturized. After scabs have fallen off you can switch to a fragrance-free lotion or moisturizer such as Lubriderm, Cera Ve, or Eucerin.
DO NOT PICK SCABS! This can cause poor healing, uneven pigment and scarring.
To keep longevity and vibrancy of your tattoo, apply sunscreen once healed if you will be in the sun for prolonged amounts of time. Always keep it moisturized.
Complimentary touch ups after at least 6 weeks from initial tattoo appointment.
If there are any signs of infection seek medical attention.
